Timothy (Tim) W. Stalker has over 30 years of industry experience, not only as outside counsel, but also as an officer for both insurance and reinsurance companies. As such, his expertise focuses on complex coverage issues, general business transactions, reinsurance arrangements, contractual wordings, commutations, claim presentations, and dispute resolution through mediation, arbitration and litigation.
In addition to the foregoing, Tim has active involvement in numerous industry issues such as bad faith, asbestos, environmental, latent injury, and construction defect type cases. Previous to Stalker, Vogrin, Bracken & Frimet, Tim was a shareholder in the firm of Nelson Levine de Luca & Horst, and a partner with Margolis Edelstein.
On an in-house basis, Tim has functioned in numerous capacities. He has served as Vice President of Claims and Legal within the Liberty Mutual Group; Vice President and Counsel for Gerling Global Reinsurance Corporation of America; Vice President, Director and General Counsel for various companies within Crum & Forster Corporation (Talegen); and Vice President, Director, Secretary and Acting General Counsel for GRE of America.
Tim has an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Supreme Court.
Tim is a frequent lecturer and has published numerous articles for the insurance and reinsurance industry. He is an ARIAS certified arbitrator and a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
